Hi, Friends! Hope you are having a great Monday!
I wanted to share some simple and super easy ways to make your table look put together for every day! A pretty centerpiece can make my entire dining room feel beautiful and polished! Here’s some of my favorite everyday looks!
I always start my table decor off with a pretty table runner. I prefer a runner because it doesn’t need to be moved and the part of the table with your place setting is still exposed and can easily be wiped after each meal. I will do a round up of my favorite runners later this week!
Baskets and Trays
I love a pretty vase full of grocery store flowers! This floral arrangement is proportional to the size of my table and the width of my table runner. But, if I’m working with a small, less substantial floral arrangement or vase, or my table runner is extra wide, I use a basket or a tray to anchor my flowers. Like so…
See how the basket anchors the flowers and fills in some of the width around the vase to the edges of this wide runner? Bonus points, it gives me a good place to store my salt and pepper and extra napkins! Here’s another example…
This is my widest table runner. Without the basket, the vase has several inches of blank space between the vase and the edge of the runner. It just looks dinky. But, the basket fills it in nicely! Now, check out the same strategy with a tray!
This is the same runner as the first photo above, but a smaller vase and less flowers. I used this cute little tray to anchor the flowers and fill in the width. A couple cute candles later, we have ourselves a centerpiece!
Both my basket tray and wood tray are from Target, but sadly, no longer sold. Here are a couple of my favorite trays available now, though!

Bowls
Another effortless centerpiece I use a lot is an interesting bowl full of seasonal produce! This carved wood bowl is perfect for produce or fall pumpkins!
Here’s some more bowls that would be gorgeous used as a centerpiece!

Havana Serving Bowl via Anthropologie
This has been on my wishlist for years! Love the entire Havana line! It’s even prettier in person!
Marin Blue Large Serving Bowl via Crate and Barrel
White Ruffle Bowl via Crate and Barrel
Long Boxes and Servers
A long, skinny box or server is another fun and easy way to decorate your table. I really love how they fill out the table lengthwise! I found this wooden box with bottles at Kirkland’s and painted it white to go with our table. I love how the bottles look with a couple fresh greenery stems! You could also put seasonal decor sticking out of the jars like paper hearts glued onto wooden skewers for Valentine’s Day! Boom, easy and cheap holiday decor!
I’ve also used mason jars full of rosemary from our yard for a fresh (and free!) centerpiece!
I love these boxes and long, skinny dough bowls and trays!
Glass Bottle Runner Set via Kirkland’s
Distressed Wood Trough via Amazon
Brooklyn Long Vase via Crate and Barrel
I love that this is one long vase!
Rustic Baguette Bowl via Amazon
Wouldn’t this baguette bowl look adorable filled with pastel eggs for Easter?
What are your favorite, everyday ways to decorate your table? I love hearing your ideas! If you have a picture of your centerpiece, tag me on Instagram or Facebook so I can see!

I love centerpieces like all of yours Samantha, they are not overloading the diningroom table and are just lovely!
