Hi, Friends! I’m so excited to be participating in the April Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop hosted by Erlene from My Pinterventures! The purpose of this Pinterest challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you, too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! So this month, I chose to make a new spring wreath! I love the wreath I made last year for spring/summer for the front porch, so decided the side porch needed some wreath lovin, too!
I was inspired by this pin on my wreath Pinterest board! It ended up being a link to an Etsy seller–you can buy the wreath here! I changed my wreath from hers a bit, but overall, the style remained the same.
This ended up being one of the fastest and easiest wreaths I’ve ever made! I started out with one eucalyptus stem from Hobby Lobby, three large flowers from Michael’s, and a grape vine wreath. I was planning to use magnolia flowers just like the original, but they were $10 a piece and not on sale. Waaaaay out of my budget, especially when Jeremy already thinks we have 27 million wreaths. Haha! But, I like the flowers I found at Michael’s against my coral door, so it ended up being a positive change and only cost a third of the price!
I cut the eucalyptus into two sections and arranged on the wreath form going in opposite directions and leaving room for the flowers to go in the middle of the greens.
Then, I simply popped the flowers off the stems and attached them to the wreath between the bunches of greens. I secured it all with hot glue and that’s all there was to it! So easy right?!
My front door is sporting the wreath for now, but I’ll put it over on the side door once I dig out my other spring wreath from the attic. 😉 Ignore the dirty porch. It’s currently pollen season in NC, so everything is covered in yellow! Dying for the pollen to stop so we can pressure wash the house!
