Hey, Friends! After taking most of the summer off to spend time with my kids over school break, I’m back behind the blogging wheel! And what better way to celebrate than a fall decor post with a group of my blogger friends! We are all sharing our fall mantels with you! Be sure to check out their beautiful fall decor at the bottom of this post!
Here in NC, it has been hot, hot, hot! I’m usually itching to decorate for fall, but with the crazy heat, I just couldn’t bear to add warmth with the decor. Just the thought of warm colors and chunky wool textures was making me sweat. So, I decided to add some neutral and cool toned fall decor to the mix this year. We’ll call it “early fall” decor. This way, I still get my pumpkin fix, just without the additional sweating. Ha!
I found these little houses at Target in the dollar spot and just couldn’t resist them! I have a thing for little houses! They actually light up!
I mixed in some porcelain pumpkins from last year’s dollar spot scores. Just a little hint of fall.
In the center of the mantel, I added this dough bowl I found recently at Pier 1. I love it so much! I filled it up with, surprise, more dollar spot pumpkins. Maybe I should have named this post, Target Dollar Spot Mantel. Haha!
I added some cotton stems to the lambs ear greenery I already had in the vases on either end of the mantel. It adds just the right amount of brown for fall and ties in well to the dough bowl in the center.
And, now, for the best part- the houses all lit up! I should have snapped a night time photo for you all! I’ll try to take one and post it on Instagram.
Aren’t they so warm and cozy?!
Have you started decorating for fall yet? Don’t forget to check out my blogger friends’ fall mantels below! Big thanks to Amy from My Life from Home for hosting a fun blog hop!

I feel you with the heat, Samantha! we were lucky enough to get a few cool days (aka: under 80) in which gave me just that little bit of a kick I needed to embrace the season! I love the softness of your mantel – those little houses are my favorites! Beautiful.

I adore those little houses and picked up the same pumpkins from the dollar spot! The creamy whites and greens are gorgeous for fall!

Samantha, this is all just beautiful!!!! I can totally understand not wanting to go all out for fall when it’s still so hot. This is such a great way to bridge the gap. it is really such a pretty look. Great work!

Samantha, this is simply beautiful! I love all of the neutrals and textures, and those cute little houses are darling! For sure, you can use them anytime of the year. Speaking of the heat, if we didn’t have a week of rain, I’d feel so out of place having all my fall decor up, because otherwise it would be almost 100 degrees around here. I’m so ready for fall!

I hear you! Our temperatures in SW Ohio have been scorching for weeks. it was kind of hard to get into the Fall spirit. I think that’s why I went with more muted colors for our mantel as well. Your mantel looks fantastic – it’s a great balance of lightness and coziness – especially with those cute light-up houses!

Same happens for me, we are still in the mid thirties C and even though I am in a major Fall mood, the heat makes decorating for Fall hard, haha. Your mantel is so pretty and I absolutely love those little houses!!
