Hey, Friends! Christmas is my favorite holiday to decorate for, how about you? All of the lights just make everything so cozy!
I wanted to give you all a tour of our home all decked our for Christmas! There’s a million pictures, so I will try to keep the word count under a million. I know, I’m showing a lot of restraint here. If I leave off where something came from, it’s probably from the Target dollar section. Haha!
C’mon in!
We had found a great tree and were about to get it when Jeremy spotted this one. It’s the best tree we’ve ever had! It’s so full and perfect!
I kept the fireplace mantel the same as last year, I just swapped out the candle holder for another mercury glass tree. Love this look! If it’s not broken, don’t fix it, right?
Still majorly crushing on these monograms that my friend at ZigZagz Embroidery did! She made them to match stockings I found on clearance and I love the custom look!
I always put out a basket of Christmas books along with the play nativity set for the kids. My basket was beat up, so I replaced it with this cutie basket I found for only $7 at TJ Maxx.
Why is it so hard to get a good picture of a Christmas tree? Anyway, we did get a new mercury glass star topper this year that I love!
We love a mix of silver and mercury glass ornaments along with our sentimental ornaments. I mean, doesn’t every tree have a ballerina and a Galaxy’s Edge ornament side by side? #addscharacter
I changed things up on the ledge shelf and love the simple, silver look centered around this gorgeous print from Pen + Paint! That picture of Jeremy and the kids from several years ago gives me all.the.feels!
More Christmas touches…
Turning toward the entry and dining room….
Did you spot our new garland on the banisters? We replaced the old IKEA garland with this beautiful garland from the Hearth and Hand collection at Target! I lit it with battery operated LED lights for a nice glow.
On to the dining room! I’m having way too much fun decking out the dining room for the seasons after we gave the dining room a refresh!
I wanted something low lying and simple for the centerpiece so I wouldn’t need to mess with it each time we ate. I had this white box on hand and filled it with Dollar Tree vases, pillar candles, and some Christmas stems from Kirklands that I scored on a major sale and cut apart. I love it! The table runner is a recent TJ Maxx find and has a little silver shine to it. I love that it is a thick, wipeable material more like a placemat than a fabric runner. Hello, kid friendly decor! 🙂
These shelves are proving to be way too much fun during the holidays! Almost everything on them is from the Target dollar section!
These cute little wooden houses are my favorite dollar spot find this year! I mean, how adorable?!
The white houses were from a year or two ago. Jeremy had the idea to add wreaths- so cute!
These DIY paper trees I made years ago continue to live on in the breakfast nook! Who knew I’d get so many years out of them?!
The shelves above the windows in the breakfast nook hold some of our older, sentimental decorations. I made these plate with the kids when they were tiny and love putting them up each year! The snowmen were the very first holiday decoration I ever purchased for our home, back at the ripe old age of 19 when Jeremy and I were first engaged. Yup, never getting rid of those! 😉
In the playroom, we added some little Christmas touches to the built-ins and end table like the Christmas diorama I made a couple years ago.
My DIY peg people nativity I made last year ended up in the playroom as well!
I forgot to take a new picture, but I added this adorable little tree and the reindeer art I made to the bathroom. Because, apparently no space is safe from my decorating. Ha!
The kids each have their own little, colorful trees in their rooms that they get to decorate. They love having their own trees and leave them on while they go to sleep at night. How sweet is that? The angel in Little Girlie’s room was my grandparents and we used to put it up in the entry way at our house every Christmas. I used to love it when I was Little Girlie’s age, so it’s so fun to see how much she loves it now!
Little Man’s tree is decked out with Star Wars, of course. My Aunt Pat gave me the Santa when I was a teenager–never thought it would be snuggled next to R2D2 one day! Haha!
We kept things the same outside. We have this cute little floral basket arrangement I made on the side door and a Hearth and Hand wreath on the front door. The little trees are from Walmart, the door mat is from Kirklands, and the reindeer is from the Christmas tree stand. We lit the wreath and trees with LED lights. Love it!
Whew, that was a marathon! Off to enjoy the Christmas tree glow with my honey!
