Around my house, we are super casual. I mean, we do have kids afterall. The only beverage sipping going on is milk and the only fancy buffet is the crumb buffet on the floor after meals. However, when I heard Chloe from Celebrate and Decorate was hosting a fall tablescape blog hop, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to fancy things up a bit!
I had SO much fun pulling together a sophisticated tablescape! I am a less is more kind of decorator, but I decided to really deck out my table for fall and love how it turned out! Still simple, but a lot more fancy and special than our everyday decor!
I stuck with a neutral color palette to compliment our green walls and teal cabinet. White pumpkins were a must!
For some color and warmth, I brought in lots of greenery and some jars of baby’s breath. My gorgeous blue pumpkin was the perfect centerpiece!
I love the layered table runner and woven placements. The placemats bring in some nice texture!
My husband commented when he got home from work that I “really went all out” and my son came home from school and asked what all that stuff was on the table because “it looks messy”. Haha! I think we’ll have to have one meal at our festive table before we go back to our more simple and kid friendly set up. Maybe we’ll even drink our milk out of goblets. 😉

Your soft color palette of blues, greens, CREAM and white ARE SO INVITING. iT IS A TABLESCAPE WHICH IS NOT AS SIMPLE AS YOU THOUGHT SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY WONDERFUL ELEMENTS GOING ON HERE. The elevated soft and smooth pumpkin on a “lace stand” and delicate baby breath contrasts so nicely with the textured runner, placemats, plaid napkins and burlap accent leaf. Decorating at different heights in the center of your table including the blue, green leaves and the various white candles and white pumpkins draws your attention to the natural beauty of your table. Call it simple? I call it stunning.
SAmantha, i REALLY LIKE YOUR FARMHOUSE APPROACH TO YOUR TABLESCAPE. THE MUTED COLORS ALWAYS APPEAL TO ME, EVEN WHEN FALL IS BURSTING WITH COLOR. IT’S A RESTFUL, CALM LOOK, SOMETHING WE CAN ALL USE MORE OF IN OUR BUSY LIVES. VERY PRETTY, NOT MESSY. 😉 HAPPY FALL!

postscript….so funny how my comment turned out. As I was typing, all letters were lowercase in preview (even now), then I struck the all caps key, and that’s how my comment turned out. Hard to tell how this one will look. 🙂

Blue pumpkin? very original color combo and I greatly enjoyed visiting your tablescape. Very original!
I love your simple and elegant tablescape. The green and white are one of my favorite combinations for Fall. I used the same last year for Thanksgiving. The use of the gray-green pumpkin for your centerpiece with gray-green eucalyptus are a perfect pairing. Thank you so much for being a part of the Autumn tablescape blog hop!
