It’s that time of year again! Time for the annual summer porch and outdoor tours hosted by Lehman Lane! I love joining up with my blogger friends to share spaces of our homes! Be sure to check out their outdoor tours at the bottom of this post! You can see my previous porch tours here and here!
Honestly, our porch hasn’t changed too much since last year. These pillows on the swing were $5 at Walmart last year and still going strong! They wash up really well! I did pick up this large planter from BJ’s for only $15. For a planter this size, that’s a steal! The fern was also a steal at just $7.50 on sale at Home Depot this week! It’s huge! I love how it fills in this corner!
The real star of the show are the hydrangeas! The largest bushes on each side of the porch are old, but all the others are ones we just planted last year. They have really taken off! I get absolutely giddy driving up to the house and seeing all.the.hydranges greeting me!
I mean, seriously, aren’t they so gorgeous?!
I seem to kill most plants that I try next to the front door except begonias. So, I am sticking with begonias this year. I did try a weeping variety this time and love how they hang over the side of the planters!
I was planning to move the wreath I made to the side door, but I’ve been enjoying it out front. Maybe next month… Ha!
The hydrangeas on the other side of the steps are turning pink and purple! We must have messed with the acidity of the soil when we planted fresh bushes in our flower beds last year. We are enjoying the variety of colors, but after this year, I may look into balancing out the acidity of the soil so that the hydrangeas turn back to blue. Any tips?
The pink and purple really are beautiful, though!
The rocking chairs are due for some fresh paint, but in the meantime, we added new cushions that I found on clearance at Kirkland’s. I also scored this cute little metal table to set drinks on at Five Below! Can you believe it was only five bucks?!
One more hydrangea photo, because, why not?! Gorgeous!
Hope you enjoyed the front porch tour! Now go hop over to my friends’ tours and leave them some love!
